return to the topXim Phou Moon carried out the "First Asian Welfare, Education & Cultural Exchange Program For Orphans and Underprivileged Children". 225 orphans from China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand were invited to conduct a 9-day cultural exchange with Malaysian orphans. Donated:
  • USD 1,000 to 6 participating countries
  • Malaysian Ringgit 2,000 each to 12 charity organizations in Malaysia.

  • food, provisions and 500 Rupees each to 100 needy families in Anuradhapura
  • 200 Rupees of pocket money and an apple each to 114 deaf and mute students as well as 18 blind underprivileged school children
  • USD 200 to K/Senkadagala Deaf and Blind School
  • 30,000 Rupees, daily amenities & food to Samata Sarana Orphanage and elderly Home in Colombo
  • 30,000 Rupees, food and provisions to Sri Lanka Dara Society, an orphanage in Colombo

Welfare aid including cash and rice-grains were contributed to 2 welfare homes in Myanmar and at the end of the 4-day trip, a special dinner was held exclusively for 1,185 orphans from 8 orphanages in Myanmar.

Later on the same day, both group took a trip down to Melaka and donated Malaysian Ringgit 3,000, clothing, shoes, sauce, milo, condensed milk, biscuits and potatoes to Sri Ramakrisna Ashram, another orphanage in Malacca.

  • Donated Malaysian Ringgit 25,000 to a remote Mongolian self ruled village called Wo Feng Gou to refurbish the school and named "Loong Sang School of Hope" to provide education for the poor children.
